MECCO ANIMAL RESCUE (MARE) – A NEW HOPE FOR TANZANIA’S FORGOTTEN ANIMALS

Every day across our city, abandoned, injured, and homeless animals fight silent battles. They roam the streets with no shelter, no food, no medical care, and no one to protect them. They suffer quietly, waiting for someone to notice them. Waiting for a chance at life.

This is why Mecco Animal Rescue (MARE) was created—a young but deeply passionate organization driven by compassion, responsibility, and the belief that every animal deserves love, safety, and dignity.

Our Mission

We are in the process of building a modern, safe animal shelter that will house:

• Over 300 dogs
• Over 200 cats

Within this shelter, they will receive:

• Safe accommodation
• Professional veterinary care
• Regular meals
• Rehabilitation and emotional recovery
• And ultimately, the opportunity to find their forever homes

But we cannot do this alone.
